Last March, Dr. Elena Barraquer had the pleasure of being invited to the Jornadas Interactivas de Cirugía para Estudiantes. Where she was able to talk about her work but, mainly, she was able to talk and explain her experience in the expeditions that she carries out with the Elena Barraquer Foundation.

JOICE is an initiative of students, doctors and residents of the Faculty of Medicine and the Clínica Universidad de Navarra, with the aim of expanding their surgical knowledge in an interactive way. Surgery is essential in the training of any doctor and the aim of this conference is to enrich the surgical knowledge base that students have obtained throughout their degree.

This conference aims to promote surgical education through the exchange of experiences and knowledge among medical students and residents from different surgical specialties.

It was an honour and a great experience that surely encouraged many students to pursue their dreams and fight, as Dr. Elena Barraquer has done, for their dreams, no matter what they cost.
